Everybody knows the polish Quakelive player av3k. He played well in a lot of tourneys and has reached good results in latest Zotac Cups. So we think it is time to give you some information about the best Quakelive player from Poland.

Hey av3k. My name is moppz. I think you know me from www.derquaker.com and from the streaming page www.bloodywarriors.com. I had a lot of fun streaming your games. But now community wants to know more about you, so tell us something about yourself.

What is your name?

My name is Maciej Krzykowski.

Where are you from?

I live Ostroda, which is a city in Poland.

What is your current occupation?

At this moment I don`t have a job, since I just finished school. I`m doing extra things to be fitness instructor. Sometimes I also work at the gym. Most of the time I spend with my friends and I am in the gym. I really like bodybuilding so I put much effort into that.

What kind of equipment do you use for competitions?

I don`t know much about my System, but I also think it does not matter since I have a contract with Razer because of my team. Anyway, my mouse is the Razer Salmosa and I use 1000 hz and 800 DPI , my keyboard is the Razer Tarantula and my headset is also by Razer.

How did you get into gaming, especially into the professional scene?

When I was young I was fascinated by pro-gamers and I always wanted to be one of them. I trained hard and had dreams about being a pro-gamer aswell. It was my main goal in childhood. Suddenly, serious gaming was interested in me and offered me a contract, so I was able to travel to tournaments around the world and that`s how it all started. I got some good results and was able to travel all around the world to play Quake competetively. I caught attention in the scene thanks to internet-cups, so if there are some young guys dreaming about being pro, then they should start to participate in Zotacs and other cups in general.

What do you think about the new JeeSports cup?

I only took part in TDM for one of them yet, anyway I think all internet cups are great for the comunity because it is good for the community that there is always something happening between all the LAN-tournaments. The more events we have, offline or online, the better it is for QuakeLive I think. StarCraft II has a lot of internet cups, the same goes for Counter-Strike. So why not for QuakeLive aswell?

Do you think that the Zotac Cup will still exist in the future?

It depends how much money they have . I think it`s a good business for them because they already organized about 85 cups and spend roundabout 8500 Euro, which was definitely worth it. I think they will continue because it`s just good advertisement for them and the Quake-community. If I was to organize it, I would also continue to do so.

Is the Dreamhack the biggest and best event you have ever participated in?

It`s not the biggest and it`s not the best event, but anyway it is one of the biggest and one of the best tournaments. Actually, Dreamhack is great . The Admins are doing a really great job, so most of the time there are no big delays or problems. Additionally, the provided monitors are great, so I would rate this tournament 9 out of 10. And, of course, the prize money is awesome!

You are in a good shape right now, but who will win the Dreamhack in your opinion?

I will try hard to win of course, but in the last 2 years I lost many events in Quake scene. Nowadays I am trying to catch up because I realized some time ago that I really miss the times of winning tournaments. It`s such a feeling that u will remember till your last days, so my dream is to win some tournaments again. Hard work is waiting for me but I’m looking forward to that.

What do you think about toxjq`s Comeback?

I think it`s really cool. I wish him best of luck and it`s very interesting for the community cause everybody thinks that such a champion as toxjq will always be able to reach the top again and perform well, that’s why everybody is looking forward to his games.

Do you think that he is still able to perform well?

You know, in my opinion in games and sports there is only one thing that matters, that will allow you to be one of the best players and that is sheer willpower. If you really want to win then you will always be able to show a lot of dedication and spend time on it, so you can do it for sure. There is no such thing like talent cause all people are the same, or at least supposed to be the same.

Everything that leads you to the win is your mindset, that`s all. I truly believe there is no such thing as talent. Some people don`t think so, but I play for a plenty of time now and I don`t have the talent to hit well. Hitting is like a habbit – you get used to it and it`s hard to change it. The same way as it is to change your personality. That`s why really I think there is no such thing as talent.

How long are you going to play Quakelive actively?

Some time ago I decided to stick with Quake and play it as long as possible.

Do you want to have more big events and more online Cups with money about 100 Euro?

The more, the better!

What do you usually eat for breakfast?

Meat and rice or natural cereals with bananas and eggs.

If you were a super hero, What kind of super powers do you want to possess?

Hehehe, Actually it`s the most interesting question I ever got, and I don`t know how to answer it. But I think I would like to read people`s minds, so I knew what is going on in their heads. It would be a great experience I think.

Can you live off the money you receive from Quake Live?

Yes, at the moment that`s what I do.

Do you get more hot girls because you are a pro-gamer?

I never say at first date that I am a pro gamer. You know it is very hard to explain that to polish girls. But I’m not ashamed of that.

Would you like to join the best Quake Clan ever? Fans want you to play for Bloody Warriors.

I would like to, but my manager would not!

If you had to read something about a Quake player, who would it be?

Hmm, I pretty much know all of the players. Some better like cooller, cypher and rapha because I spent so much time with them on bootcamps, trips and events. So it’s a hard decision. I guess I would like to know more about gamers from other continents. For example, how Quakelive is played in China, Japan, Brazil or Argentine. I have been to an argentinian server once and it was actually very populated and the players had some good skills. It would be great to make a trip to Argentinia with Razer for some shootouts.
